20GREEN is a non-political and non-profit awareness campaign.

To create a safe environment for children, walkers, runners, cyclists, workers, and animals by asking drivers to voluntarily slow down.
To promote active lifestyles as a viable form of clean, alternative transportation.
To give residents the confidence to feel safe moving in our neighborhood and community on our feet and on our bikes.
To encourage residents to slow down in all aspects of their lives and enjoy the place where we live.

The beginnings of this community project can be traced to the efforts of Terrell Hills residents Randall Mays and Whit Snell, who in the Fall of 2009 approached the City of Terrell Hills with ideas on how to make the city safer for a growing number of residents who wished to use the streets for walking, running, and cycling. Through the non-profit organization 20GREEN, we now have a community project underway brings together our residents with many of the same concerns. 20GREEN hopes to take a few short weeks each year to remind us that we not only have responsibilities to abide by our safety laws, but we also have responsibilities to follow common sense and insure the safety of those around us while driving.
