Our 4th of July Concert is dedicated to our dear friend and neighbor COL A.T. Pumphrey and his wife Angela. COL. Pumphy is a decorated veteran of WWII, Korea and was the Commander of 1st Airborne Air Cavalry Helicopter unit in two tours of Vietnam. (Editors note: Robert Duval plays this Commander in the movie "Appocalypse Now" - Col Pumphrey never saw the movie, nor was he ever quoted as saying the most famous line from it) To us he represents a great American hero, an example of those who have given so much to our Country, so that we may enjoy our wonderful Parkway and 4th Celebration! COL. Pumphry can be seen almost daily walking his dog, "Mercy" on Geneseo, and he and Angela are staunch supporters of our 20GREEN Project.

Start the celebration early on July 4th at 8AM with an exciting Geneseo Mile foot race, run and walk for all ages. This will be a first class event directed by John Purnell of the Run-A-Way Athletic Club - www.09run.com Extensive prize list provided by the Best of 09 Businesses, and a great time to show your support for 20GREEN, even if you don't race, and simply walk or jog. Early Registration - $20 includes computerized chip timing, Limited Edition T-Shirt and Water Bottle and 20GREEN Run Bib.

Relax Sunday evening, 7:00PM to 9:30PM with the 1st ever Unplugged Concert on the Parkway. Enjoy the homegrown music of the best musicians in Terrell Hills, on a large 8' x 24' stage, complete with theater lighting, a computerized laser show. This will be a laid back acoustic venue but amplified with the state of the art sound system, laser light show, the same as used for last years critically acclaimed "Concert Under the Stars" Benefit. A joyful celebration of all things GREEN for Terrell Hills, all to the backdrop of the fabulous Ft Sam Fireworks Show! Seating for 300 will be available, donated by our great friends Alan and Fay Seeman and Aztec Rental.
