April 2012 Terrell Hills Safety Campaign

To create a safe environment for children, walkers, runners, cyclists, workers, and animals by asking drivers to voluntarily slow down. To promote active lifestyles as a viable form of clean, alternative transportation. To give residents the confidence to feel safe moving in our neighborhood and community on our feet and on our bikes, and to walk and ride courteously in regard to motorist. To encourage residents to slow down in all aspects of their lives and enjoy the place where we live.

20GREEN takes just a couple of weeks each year to remind us all that we not only have responsibilities to abide by our safety laws, but we also have responsibilities to follow common sense and insure the safety of those around us while driving.

We also hope that our many supporters who run, walk and jog apply the same courtesy to motorist by walking and riding single file, and use the same "common sense" to maintain safe and courteous relations with motorists.
